bands that i have seen live

yellow = seen them many many times

blue = seen them 2 or three times

red = what was i thinking when i saw this band

colors are combinable!

311 gawd.  the bass player can play, but bass players are a dime a dozen.  really annoying, saw them at deck the hall ball.

764-hero really good but i hadn't heard their stuff before.  but still quite well done, at UW

all saw them at warped tour

all in all umm yeah.  they play auburn every now and then.  the people in the band are cool.

beck he is awesome!  he has all the moves.  when i saw him back in his odelay! days it was a total different show than the one i saw in his midnite vultures phase.  i will follow him to wherever he wants to go.

ben folds five another lots of energy show, and ben folds five rocks

braden blake he has an awesome voice, i could listen to anything he says

built to spill i was 'eh' about them til i listened to their cds more, now i really want to see them live again now that i'm familiar with their stuff.

bush umm yeah.  i went with my gf at the time, so i didn't have to pay much attention to the music.  not that that's much better...the second time i saw them they put on a much better show.

cake first time i saw them at DTHB they were really grouchy, at bumbershoot they were a lot nicer, and of course pretty fun.

the catheters they are PUNK RAWK!  not really my thing, but still pretty cool.

cherry poppin' daddies the end decided to put a swing band at the end of DTHB.  soo, everyone's tired from 5 bands before, and at about 11:30 pm the cherry poppin' daddys come on.  i almost felt sorry for them.

death cab for cutie i didn't much care for their first album, and i saw them after hearing that.  i really like their new one, though, and can't wait to see them again.

the diablotones they're a ska band, need more be said?

dj spooky first time i saw a live dj, at sno-core.  i was totally impressed

the donnas uggggghghghghghghghgg.  how annoying at warped tour

the eels i was expecting worse but they actually weren't bad at all

engine 54 they always have 23408234803482 guys on stage , that's a lot, even for a ska band

eve 6 sat through these guys waiting for sunny day real estate.. uggghhh yawnfest

everclear they were really really loud.  almost too loud.

the fastbacks saw them at my first show, they all wore pajamas

filter umm yeah

foo fighters i missed seeing them 0828432723 times but i did finally see them, along with krist noveselic.  pretty fun although not as rockin' as i had hoped.

garbage shirley manson could be hot, but she wore adidas pants and a sweater/tank top with her hair tied back. i felt almost cheated.

the giraffe(s) it's normally a full band, but that day it was just chris ballew.  still totally catchy simple songs, which i like.

goodness carrie is extremely talented vocally, and i've liked all her projects.

harvey danger they have an awesome sound, although sometimes sean nelson gets into this annoying "must talk instead of sing" modes, and it pisses me off!!  arghggghh!  sing your damned songs!!

hole actually they have some fun songs that i like.  courtney love is obnoxious on the stage but at least she takes off her top.  i mean, er, at least she speaks out against the record labels, and she wrote a really well-thought out article that blew me away about mp3s vs. the RIAA.

instant winner P-town's finest?

damien jurado really lovely acoustic stuff

green day at least they only played for 30 minutes at warped tour..aaand they burned their drumset.  dammit.  they could have given me $600!

korn i took my brother for his christmas present.  ugh, yeah.  there weren't even hot chicks there

the lunachicks i'm going to go vomit now

aimee mann nat took me for my birthday present!  what a fun show!

mark lanegan his voice is so enthralling1

marilyn manson yeah i won backstage tickets to manson/hole, so yeah i went.  it's kinda cool how each song is a whole act (just like the way he acts).  there are different things that go on to make it fairly entertaining.

micro mini cute pop songs, and even a hot chick who only plays the tambourine and sings backups..what more could you ask for

the mighty mighty bosstones these guys have been at it for a while, and they know how to get a crowd goin.

mindless self indulgence wheee, it's a clown band!

the misfits entertaining to see all the people dressed all misfitty when only two of the original members were left.  oh well

modest mouse wow.  these guys put on an amazing show, at least when you're in close quarters with them.

murder city devils ummmm they had fire!  woo!

mXpX yeah..whatever  doo doo

NOFX yay!  too bad they only played 30 minutes.  still, as awesome as i expected.

olivian tremor control they opened for beck way back when, pretty damned cool

orbital saw them at DTHB, everyone was leaving but i stuck around and it was pretty cool

pavement yeah basically all they did was whine about how the end never played them anymore.  yeah, screw you.  play me some damned songs.

pearl jam it's hard to get a feel for a band in such a huge venue far, far away.  that's what it was like with PJ

pedro the lion i didn't like them at first but they've grown on me.  his voice is really dull but then it hits you

placebo eh i wasn't really listening

the posies they opened for PUSA in the first show i went to.  I think i've gone to three of their breaking-up shows too.

the presidents of the united states of america these guys put on an awesome show, and it shows cuz i've gone to so many of their shows.  total energy.

red stars theory they opened for modest mouse.  pretty cool

reel big fish i heart reel big fish..i don't like much ska but i love these guys..tons of fun, live too

r.e.m. i got to be right up front and it was worth it.  ahhh what a feeling!  i had loved these guys forever

rewind the first of the rap-rock.  they are bumpin

salmon davis umm i don't remember what they sound like, but they opened for soda jerk a lot

saltine very cool, opened for r.e.m., didn't play that long of a set though

screaming trees mark lanegan's voice is so enthralling..and in the large confines of the stadium, it was even more captivating, even if it kinda sounded like he didn't really wanna be there.

silverchair bleh..they played at DTHB.  the drummer even mooned the audience.  i'm scarred for life

sky cries mary kinda weird but still pretty damned cool

sleater-kinney um yeah, what an annoying voice, not to mention it's hard to breathe with so many scenesters in one place

smashing pumpkins eh.  and then they played this 45-minute song, it was soo tiring

elliott smith ahh finally saw him!  awesome show

soda jerk i've seen them 234032 times, they're great guys who play great music, unfortunately only at 21+ places now.

sonic youth i dunno..seeing them live is like seeing them practice in their garage.  they kinda just talk to each other and jam.  kinda cool in a way, kinda detaching in another

soul coughing sweeeet.  i love their style, and i'm sad they broke up

staind they had dry ice, oooh..we'll never hear from them again thank god

stabbing westward yay

subminute: radio um yeah they've been around forever but still play the same 6 songs

sugar ray boo, he looks like vanilla ice

the suicide machines at warped tour, yay

sunny day real estate glad to have seen them once in my lifetime

super deluxe ahh sweet sweet pop

supernot they were pretty fun

they might be giants the first band that totally won me over before i had ever heard of them.  i came to their show at bumbershoot expecting nothing, and was completely blown away. good job tmbg!

tribute nirvana + bush + dumbed down = tribute

veruca salt well..they were chicks..gotta hand it to 'em

violent femmes his voice is really hard to get used to

the wallflowers opened for pearl jam..*yaaawn*

weezer oh my gawd, i'm glad i got to see them.  ahhh way to complete my life

the young fresh fellows they are total fun, i'm saddened i didn't get to see them more in their prime

zeke they are loud
